AR Technologies Company, Inc. is now “ARTCO by J.”
On April 1st, 2015, our organization made another leap in growth by purchasing AR Technologies, formerly known as ARTCO, now “ARTCO by J.”
Founded in 1993 by Rod Silver, ARTCO is, to the best of our knowledge, the longest-existing web design and development firm in Fresno, Clovis and the Central Valley. The Internet was barely open to commercial use having opened the World Wide Web to public access in August of 1991, but had exploded in growth by the end of 1994.
It was around that same time that I started repairing home computers for friends and friends of friends so they could access the wonders of the Internet. Not long after, I opened my own business, working with individuals and soon after, businesses, who were using the Internet for fun and profit. As it became more vital to businesses to have a website and to use the Internet to reach customers and connect employees and resources, my business came more and more from business network support until it was 70% of my revenue. The decision was made to change the business model and brand at the end of 2013 to become J – I.T. Outsource.
Now that we’d been a B2B-only, full-service managed I.T. support provider for nearly two years, it was time to grow again. That’s why I purchased Clovis and Fresno-based web development firm, AR Technologies, also known as ARTCO. We completed it and as of April 1st, ARTCO is now officially “ARTCO by J.”
The acquisition included all of AR Technologies’ existing accounts as well as the services of their web development team which has 30 combined years of experience in web design, scripting, database development, graphic design and SEO marketing. The team includes a very experienced web designer with graphic design, marketing, and journalism experience, and a web developer, also with extensive programming and development experience. They’ve joined our team and fit well into our culture of hard work and complete care for our clients. The transition will be seamless for AR Technologies clients who will receive the same fast, accurate, and creative service they’ve been been getting.
