Megan Anderson, Help Desk Technician

Megan loves a challenge. It’s one of the things she likes about working in I.T. because fixing computers is like solving a big puzzle to her. As a Help Desk Technician, she gets plenty of opportunities to solve problems and make all the pieces fit together.

While you may feel bad about presenting her with a complicated problem, rest assured that she enjoys figuring out what happened and how to fix it. Combine that with her fun, people-oriented personality and you get the great client-service experience that we’ve come to be known for at J – I.T. Outsource.

Megan started her I.T. career with us many years ago (as part of the previous consumer-oriented business). She worked in client service, doing a great job, treating clients right, so it was sad to see her go when she started college. So it was a great day several months ago when she re-connected with us and asked if there was a place for her in the new company.

“Would you be willing to expand on your computer and network skills?” J. Colin Petersen, President & CEO, asked her. Megan said she would and is now studying to add A+ and Network+ certificates to her CompTIA “I.T. for Sales” certificate.

She’s happy to be back with J – I.T. Outsource. “I am so proud to see how much the company has grown and to watch that continue is just amazing. I feel like I’m part of something really special,” says Megan, “And, I’m proud to be part of this team. Everyone works so hard to make sure the clients are taken care of, but we also don’t forget to respect and appreciate each other.”

When she’s not working, she’s going to school. Megan is completing her Animal Science degree at CSU, Fresno. She wants to become a zookeeper, specifically in animal enrichment which finds ways to make their lives better. So we can’t say that the Chaffee Zoo is her favorite client, but …

Megan and Josh, her boyfriend of eight years, are already surrounded by animals including Sophie, her Bichon-Westie, horse Polly, Nelly the mule and Josh’s American Samoyed mix named Sebastian.

In her rare spare time between work and classes, she enjoys spending time with her family. She and her mom have completed several long bicycle rides together. She also rides her horses and shares her love of animals with the youngest generation of her family.
